صرافی HitBTC بنا به درخواست رسمی شرکت Tether به تریدر‌های خود پیشنهاد کرد در این صرافی از سرویس تتر استفاده نکنند و این سرویس را به حالت معلق در خواهد آورد.
این خبر در پی هک شدن تتر و احتمال وجود باگ در این شبکه پخش شده است. همچنین در صرافی Bitfinex کاربران با مشکل در برداشت وجه مواجه شده‌اند و این امر باعث ایجاد اضطراب و هراس در کاربران این صرافی شده و خیلی‌ها فکر می‌کنند اتفاقی که برای MtGox افتاد برای بیت‌فینکس هم اتفاق خواهد افتاد.

در این متن به تراکنشی که به صورت غیر صحیح از خزانه‌داری تتر انجام شده اشاره شده است که مبلغ 30950010 دلار را به آدرس بیت کوین خاصی ارسال کرده است. تتر اعلام کرده است که اگر از این آدرس یا زیر‌شاخه آن توکن تتر دریافت کردید قبول نکنید زیرا این توکن ها علامت گذاری شده و در مقابل آنها دلار پرداخت نخواهد کرد.
